Lead Bid Manager
Based in London with flexible working
Paying up to £70,000 with ca and bonus
  • The role

We are looking for an exceptional Lead Bid Manager to join the UK Sales & Business Development function. The role is focused on originating, shaping and closing strategic mandates f, working across our Consulting, Managed Services and Workplace Dynamics Verticals. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to help us drive new business growth, leverage our market leading team of experts and value add solutions to win large, strategic contracts.

What this job involves

    • Strategic thinking and ability to lead bid teams in large, strategically important and/or complex multidisciplinary bids
    • Developing a strong understanding of solutions offered, how it meets client objectives and supports wider services
    • Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, adapting and tailoring our sustainability solutions to meet different objectives
    • Sourcing and assessing client opportunities, lead go no go decisions and input into team selection
    • Identifying contract risks in RFP’s and engaging with Legal and Commercial teams to support identifying, mitigating, and managing all contract risks in bids
    • Preparing and leading bid workshops including client analysis, key drivers, competitor analysis, solution development and win strategy
    • Co-ordinating appropriate input and involvement from subject matter experts across various sustainability teams
    • Leading bid production by producing written documentation to clearly describe the solution at a detailed and summary level
    • Ensuring our solutions are compelling and supported by appropriate sales collateral
    • Shaping and guiding the pricing model in conjunction with the Lead Director/Commercial Director, ensuring a commercially viable proposal
    • Coaching and/or leading presentation teams
    • Leading and managing a team of Pursuit Managers ensuring their continued development

You should have experience of:

    • Expertise leading and managing strategic bids, whilst implementing the full level bid process
    • Experience developing proposals which incorporate all the different components of a comprehensive business architecture including people, process and technology
    • Working in a client facing role, in a sales focussed or operational delivery role
    • Previous experience in a Pursuits/Bid Management role or working knowledge of Real Estate is highly desirable
    • Good financial and commercial skills with ability to develop solutions that deliver compelling business cases
    • An influential personality with the ability to persuade and lead senior members within the business
    • Problem solving, identifying and understanding key client issues and developing innovative and compelling solution
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
    • Excellent writing skills, designing and leading internal and external presentations
    • Time management and the ability and tenacity to consistently hit challenging deadlines
