Background

Our client is a leading facilities management company specialising in Lighting, Electrical installations, and maintenance. They are a well-established specialist within their sector and are continuing to grow from strength-to-strength year on year. Due to continued growth and the loss of a team member they are looking to secure and experienced self-sufficient bid writer/manager to the team.

The Role:

This is a great opportunity for an experience bid manager within the lighting and electrical sector to take on a leading position with a growing organisation with ongoing future career development and progression opportunity.

The position is ideally based out of the office to begin with but will be open to flexible, hybrid, remote working once someone has settled into the position. Ideally you will be able to commute to the office when required.

As an experienced Bid Manager, you will be responsible for managing all stages of the bid life cycle.

You will be working independently as well as part of the larger team liaising with internal stake holders and technical specialists to carry bid through to fruition.

The bids are primarily split within two categories medium £100k-£500k and large bids £1 million - £2 million. There are multiple bids running simultaneously, so organisation and a strong sense of working within a given time frame are a must. There are roughly 7-9 bids at a time with the majority of focus presently orientated to medium bids. Most bids are framework related so experience with this is essential. Clients are typically within a commercial setting from social housing through to Construction and Nuclear power.

Desired Skills/ experience

3-4 years min experience within a relevant bid manager position

Experience with bidding on frameworks

Experience with producing bids within the electrical and lighting sectors

Strong organisation and demonstrable experience working to deadlines.

APMP Certification or relevant experience
