My client, a leader in waste management is seeking a Bid Manager / Senior Bid Manager to join their team.

About the role

You will play a fundamental role in developing, negotiating, agreeing and implementing new service contracts, from pre-qualification stage through to contract negotiations. Main duties include – liaising with various departments (SHEQ, technical, legal, finance etc) to create and pull together content for the bid, taking responsibility for the development and preparation of project delivery plans, tender proposals and contract documentation, take responsibility for the quality submission, ensuring continuous improvement in the presentation, monitoring and managing the project delivery plans, implementing and maintaining all development procedures and systems, managing project teams and providing monthly reporting, delivering tender performance against the development strategy, coordination and implementation of new service contracts and extensions of contracts, preparing, submitting and presenting project development documentation for the approval of the executive committee, establishing and maintaining client relationships and ensuring all bids meet the highest standard before submission.

About you

You will be an experienced Bid Manager with a proven track record of winning / delivering projects with values upwards of £5mil. Ideally you will come from a waste management background, however my client is open to any sector experience, and would welcome applicants from other sectors who can bring an innovative approach to bidding. You must be confident managing all stages of the bid process, and be able to work with the wider business to create winning solutions. Experience using MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential, and ideally you will be degree qualified. This role offers a hybrid working approach, so you must be willing to work between the office in Northampton and your home location.

What’s in it for you?

This role offers a salary up to £60,000 (depending on experience), plus company car and bonus potential up to 20%.
