Job Title: Bid Manager

Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 plus pension contribution, car allowance.

Location: Berkshire

Job Description:

Within this role you will be part of an industry leading team and work closely with sector account directors, technical writers, estimators, and other SMEs, to ensure bids go out on time. You will ensure that all questions are answered and ultimately, place the company in the best possible position for success.

As an ideal candidate you will have a proven track record leading successful bid teams. You will work efficiently; have good time management and the ability to meet deadlines, working with minimal supervision. You will have extensive experience managing winning bids from identification to project delivery within a complex business environment.

You must be bright and articulate with strong focus on attention to detail. Good communications skills are essential for this role as you will be leading and motivating teams, facilitating workshops and working collaboratively with technical and senior management.


  • Manage the bid process, for the duration of the bid period, from ITT/pre-qual to submission.
  • Ensure the bid has enough resource allocated (working under the direction of the sector lead).
  • Work closely with the authoring team and estimating team to ensure technical inputs are received on time.
  • Manage all technical gate reviews, for example; risk, design, planning.
  • Ensure feedback and submission to client portals.
  • Attend feedback and lessons learnt for unsuccessful bids.

Essential skills:

  • End to end bid management.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tenders.
  • Sound commercial understanding.
  • Demonstrated achievement in the design and implantation of tender documents.
