Job Description:

This role is primarily focussed on Bid Management for opportunities within the UK. As a Bid Manager you will be responsible for managing the Bid Process from initial Tender Search, through a tender search service, identifying bids of interest and circulating to the wider team for consideration. With the wider team you will then conduct a bid, no bid analysis and opportunity detection review to identify areas of risk and any associated resources required to deliver on proposals. The decision is then made collectively with the wider management team where you will liaise with Technical departments, Commercial teams, Project Departments and the senior management team. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the bid process, maintaining, detailing and recording proposals.

Ideally you will have a background in solutions and services and experience of bid campaign management from; opportunity identification through to project delivery, and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution design.

There are two main areas of bids; active bids and passive bids where passive bids are known about well in advance allowing the company time to prepare and acclimatise clients with producing a tender to meet specific requirements in a longer-term quotation process.

Within this role you will be required to grasp a basic understanding of technical drawings, data flow diagrams and equipment required for projects.

Required Skills:

  • You will need to be highly organised with an eye for detail, capable of multitasking, working as part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced user of MS Office Packages
  • Experienced managing full bidding process with a desire to improve the bidding processes where possible.
  • Multitasking, Time management and Working to Deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Experience within a relevant industry sector with transferable skill sets and technical acumen.
