Sector: Infrastructure (Rail, Water, Renewables, Telecoms, Nuclear, Construction and Power)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000

Position: Full Time - Perm

Location: South Yorkshire

Company Background:

Our client is a leading consultancy providing external support for civils and infrastructure clients throughout the UK. They work hand in hand with existing inhouse bidding teams to provide first-hand support at all levels of the bidding process. The company is looking to appoint a new bid manager due to increased growth and demand from their substantial client base and results driven reputation.

Job Description:

Within this role you will be based out of the company’s head office but will need to be flexible in order to travel and work with clients at locations throughout the UK.

As an experienced Bid Manager, you will be used to working to deadlines, managing multiple projects at varying stages, engaging with key stakeholders whilst ensuring client expectations are being met. You will co-ordinate input and responses from all phases of the tendering process, prequalification, tenders, capability statements and presentations, developing on existing content in line with specific questions and individual client requirements. You will be acting as a bid lead taking control of the bid process in line with the company and client’s requirements, maintaining clear communication with all relevant parties. You will be required to develop bid responses with the use of storyboarding techniques, implementing innovative ways of presenting information, involving the wider team in the bid development stages. In order to drive continuous improvement, you will apply client feedback to further develop future responses.

Required skills

Creativity, collaboration and communication are key with this role, projecting the company’s and clients’ values.

You will need to be highly organised with an eye for detail, capable of multitasking, working as part of a team as well as independently.

Excellent written/verbal communication and numerical skills.

Experienced user of MS Office Packages.

Experienced managing full bidding process with a desire to improve the bidding processes where possible.

Demonstratable experience, multitasking, time management and working to deadlines.

Desired Skills

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline

Technical background within the civils and infrastructure sector

Project management experience and qualification.
