About the Role:
As a Senior Design Civil Engineer specializing in Industrial Buildings, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design aspects of industrial building projects from conception to completion. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and functionality of industrial facilities, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead the design process for industrial building projects, including site layout, structural design, foundation systems, and utility infrastructure.
Technical Expertise: Provide expertise in civil engineering principles, codes, and standards related to industrial construction, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Design Development: Develop conceptual and detailed design solutions, utilizing advanced engineering software and tools to optimize performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate civil engineering requirements into overall project designs, resolving design conflicts and ensuring seamless project execution.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and evaluations of design plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify potential issues and mitigate risks proactively.
Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and project budgets, monitoring project expenditures, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase, responding to RFIs, conducting site visits, and addressing any design-related issues or modifications as needed.
Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, technical expertise, and professional development opportunities to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on industrial building projects.
Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
