Staffordshire University are seeking to appoint a Space Manager to join their Estates Directorate.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Capital Development the Space Manager will lead on the development, introduction and maintenance of space management systems and strategies, monitoring all estate developments and management initiatives in order to ensure the efficient use of space across the University estate. The incumbent will be responsible for driving an optimal understanding of current estate use and future needs. As the lead for space management in the Estates team, the role will hold responsibility for engaging with various stakeholder groups to best understand the strategic and operational requirements for space and facility provision. The role demands experience of good sustainability practice, reducing carbon in design and working towards Zero Net Carbon objectives on all projects where practicable.

The university are seeking a professional with track record of leading space and workplace management across a large scale, diverse multi-building estate portfolio. You will have strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to develop space management strategies and polices to support an organisation’s overall strategies.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you will be required to work at a senior level to influence stakeholders across the organisation.
