This role is the sales and client management lead for QMUL Venues. Reporting directly to the Head of QM Venues, you will have full autonomy of sales, account management and business development for the university events programme, including summer accommodation and market leading events venues.
This role will be responsible for the marketing of services across the Estates department both online and offline. You will ensure the services of the department are highly engaged with by our students, staff, visitors and the local community (where appropriate).
The candidate will be accountable for the identification and development of external commercial opportunities with a wide range of partners. With this in mind, full financial accountability will be given to the post holder in this role.
This person will have had been in sales and business development role within a multi faceted events space or large hospitality venue. This will have included a prelonged successful period of identifying, developing and onboarding of new accounts within a public or corporate setting. Working in a higher education setting with knowledge of summer school business would be welcomed but not essential.
The client will show some flexibility for working from home a 2/3 days a week.
