London Diocesan Fund is seeking to make the appointment of Senior Residential Property Manager to its Housing team.

The Church of England in London is vibrant and at the heart of communities throughout the capital. The Diocese of London comprises parishes, chaplaincies, and missional communities in London north of the River Thames.

The London Diocesan Fund (LDF) seek to do all that they can to support mission and growth in the Diocese of London, using resources to help parishes and worshipping communities serve over 4 million people.

This is a new role reporting to the Head of Housing and leading a team of two residential property managers to deliver a high quality and comprehensive service. The Senior Residential Property Manager is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the performance of the LDF’s residential property portfolio. The LDF have a £1bn property portfolio, of which circa 530 assets are residential.

The Senior Residential Property Manager will work across both the occupied, operational housing portfolio and the LDF’s privately let housing stock. The asset mix is diverse, ranging from more modern properties to heritage assets.

The Senior Residential Property Manager is responsible for monitoring and managing overall team workload, maximising income generation, and managing letting agents and consultants. As such the appointed candidate will work closely with the asset management team to advise on proposed developments and accept handover of new build and refurbished properties.

Strong operational experience is required to lead the management of a similar sized residential portfolio with a proven track record of developing and managing it effectively and experience of setting out and achieving strategic team objectives.

The Senior Residential Property Manager will be fully conversant with Landlord and Tenant Act, Housing Act, fitness for homes standards, HMO regulations, Health & Safety law and various types or tenure is required.

The Senior Residential Property Manager appointment offers the opportunity to mentor and provide leadership to the property team of a diverse residential portfolio on behalf of an organisation which supports the wider and local community.
