We are working with a PIF subsidiary project on a landmark infrastructure programme and are seeking a Senior Project Director – Roads/Highways to take ownership of the planning, execution, and successful delivery of one of the region’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes.
This is a delivery-focused leadership role, responsible for managing the full project lifecycle of large-scale roads and highways construction. The position demands hands-on oversight of contractors and consultants, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the planning, design, procurement, and construction phases of major road and highway projects.
- Overseeing day-to-day delivery, ensuring milestones, budgets, and quality targets are met.
- Managing and coordinating Tier-1 contractors and delivery partners on complex construction packages.
- Implementing rigorous risk, safety, and quality management processes.
- Resolving technical, contractual, and operational issues to keep projects on track.
- Acting as the primary interface with internal teams, government authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Building, mentoring, and managing high-performing multidisciplinary project teams.
Candidate requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- 18+ years’ experience in project and construction management of large-scale roads/highways.
- Strong background in Tier-1 contracting or managing Tier-1 contractors.
- Proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Experience in the Middle East/GCC advantageous.
