Senior Delivery Director – Venues

A rare opportunity to lead the execution of world-class venue infrastructure as part of a visionary destination development in Riyadh.
Our client, a confidential entity delivering a high-profile mixed-use development in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Delivery Director – Venues to drive the construction and handover of major venue assets. These include arenas, hotels and specialist event facilities that will serve as cornerstone attractions for regional and international audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery of complex venue projects, from design coordination through to construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Manage contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to world-class quality standards.
- Oversee programme and cost controls, proactively managing risks, interfaces, and reporting requirements across multiple assets.
- Ensure integration with enabling infrastructure, public realm, and adjacent developments to maximise efficiency and user experience.
- Coordinate with development, operations, and strategy teams to ensure delivery aligns with business case, operational intent, and guest experience objectives.
- Champion health and safety, sustainability, and quality assurance across all workstreams.
- Provide high-level reporting to executive leadership and contribute to overall programme governance.
Candidate Profile:
- Deep experience in construction and project delivery for complex venue or mega infrastructure assets, such as stadiums, arenas, theme parks, or major public buildings.
- Track record of leading large-scale projects within masterplanned environments or city-scale developments.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive performance across multidisciplinary teams and international consultants.
- Commercial understanding of procurement strategies, contract administration, and delivery risk management.
- Experience in the Middle East is advantageous but not essential.
- Degree-qualified in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related discipline.
