Dukes Education is a family of nurseries, schools, and colleges in the UK. This way, they create a wrap-around experience for every family that joins them, not just in school time, but beyond the classroom as well.

They are recruiting a strong school business manager with a track record in finance to join one of their leading schools in central London. You will be responsible for the day to day school’s finances including monthly management accounts, preparation of year end files for audit, bank reconciliations as well managing contracts including catering and cleaning and the IT provision management. In addition, you will be responsible for the functions of Premises Management, HR, Compliance and IT within the school with support from the Duke’s central team. 

The suitable candidate will have a track record in accounting and be either part or fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with strong technical accountancy with specific experience of preparing accounts to final P&L and balance sheet. Previous education experience is preferrable but not essential. 

You will also possess good interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with pupils, parents and your colleagues alike, whilst having a flexible approach being prepared to muck in and assist in the day-to-day activities of the school when required.
