London Diocesan Fund is seeking to make the appointment of Residential Property Manager to its Housing team.

The Church of England in London is vibrant and at the heart of communities throughout the capital. The Diocese of London comprises parishes, chaplaincies, and missional communities in London north of the River Thames.

The London Diocesan Fund (LDF) seek to do all that they can to support mission and growth in the Diocese of London, using resources to help parishes and worshipping communities serve over 4 million people.

Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the Residential Property Manager is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the performance of the LDF’s residential property portfolio. The LDF have a £1bn property portfolio, of which circa 530 assets are residential. The Residential Property Manager will work across both the occupied, operational housing portfolio and the LDF’s privately let housing stock. The asset mix is diverse, ranging from more modern properties to heritage assets.

The Residential Property Manager is responsible for all clergy moves, compliance monitoring, sales and acquisitions, legal matters and lettings.  As such the appointed candidate will work closely with maintenance, repairs and development colleagues in addition to appointed external consultants, letting agents and solicitors.

A commercial approach is essential to ensure maximum income generation and minimise void periods across the portfolio. Demonstrable experience in lettings, residential/housing management with strong knowledge of as Landlord and Tenant Act, Housing Act, HMO regulations, Health & Safety law and various types or tenure is required.

The Residential Property Manager appointment offers the opportunity to have an oversight of a diverse residential portfolio on behalf of an organisation which supports the wider and local community. The LDF are offering a competitive salary, generous pension contribution and leave allowance alongside private healthcare.
