This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a highly regarded Business Rates team, working on diverse commercial property portfolios. You will play a vital role in advising on significant property assets and supporting the growth of an expanding client base.
This position has been created due to significant business growth and new mandates.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic rating advice and mitigation strategies tailored to clients across a variety of property types.
- Build and strengthen client relationships by expanding a personal client base and delivering exceptional service.
- Advise occupiers, landlords, and developers throughout the property lifecycle, including the CCA process, appeals, and negotiations, as well as empty rates, payments, and completion notices.
- Represent clients effectively in appeals before the Valuation Tribunal and, ideally, the Upper Tribunal.
About You
- MRICS, RICS, or IRRV qualification, or experience in rating and property valuation at any level.
- Proven expertise or strong interest in delivering tailored rating advice, negotiating appeals, and navigating complex legislation.
- Technical skills in valuing a variety of property types, coupled with strong negotiation abilities.
- Full driving licence and the ability to travel as needed.
