Package Owner/Senior Engineer (Mechanical Wet/Dry/Electrical/Process)
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Responsible and accountable to lead the sub-contractor package in terms of technical decisions, safety requirements, QAQC, meeting schedule and cost awareness.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define the scope of work for the assigned package within the overall project.
- Develop detailed package execution plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.
- Manage contractual agreements and relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors involved in the package.
- Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and variations related to the package scope.
- Monitor and control costs associated with the package to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Forecast and manage expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing budget utilization.
- Track and manage progress of construction activities within the package, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones.
- Coordinate with project management teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, mitigate delays, and expedite critical path activities.
Qualification and experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or a related field.
- Candidate who able to speak, read & write in Mandarin will be prioritised due to the needs to liaise with China management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification recognized in Malaysia is beneficial.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other relevant project management certifications are beneficial.
- Typically 8-10+ years of progressive experience in engineering, construction, or project management roles.
- Specific experience managing construction packages or segments within large-scale semiconductor projects is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials relevant to the specific industry sector (e.g., civil infrastructure, building construction, oil & gas, etc.).
- Candidate must be able to work in Selangor on 6 working day basis weekly
