Marketing Manager – St James Schools

Up to £38,000 per annum

The Group

St James was founded in 1975 with the aim of providing a complete education for boys and girls from the age of 4 -18. The three St James Schools are based in London and Surrey. The Junior School and Senior Girls’ School are centrally located together in West London, close to Hammersmith and Kensington Olympia. The Senior Boys are located in a 32 acre site in Ashford, Surrey. Together, these independent schools offer a distinctive approach to education which provides for the intellectual, emotional and spiritual development of every child; they aim to provide an environment in which a pupil can discover all that is best within his or her own nature.

 The Role

The key remit of the role is to plan, coordinate and implement marketing strategy, whilst driving brand awareness and building on the considerable reputation and success of this thriving school.

The role will include undertaking of an annual review of the marketing strategy and liaise with the relevant departments and with the Heads, plan and execute the marketing strategy ensuring that key elements are delivered on time and within budget. Another key responsibility will be the commissioning, selection of photography as necessary for printed publications, website and other promotional material. The candidate will prepare written copy and source visual material for the production of innovative and cost-effective press advertising – carefully manage the advertising budget. Finally, the candidate will manage all digital marketing campaigns including Facebook and Google advertising as well as social media accounts as well as regularly communicating E-Newsletters to parents.

The Candidate

St James are looking for a hands on and proactive Marketing Manager, ideally with a form of education experience although the school is happy to consider other relevant backgrounds. It is important to have a good understanding of digital marketing, but also have good levels of literacy to make sure that written content is of the highest standard. You will be a good communicator with the ability to reach out to both internal and external stakeholders at suitable times.
