A highly regarded Central London Higher Education Institution is looking to recruit an Interim Head of Directorate Support and Improvement within their Estates and Facilities Management Directorate.
The Support and Improvement Team provides essential support and advice to the Estates and Facilities Directorate on recruitment, learning and development, mandatory training, discipline, absence and welfare. It is responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the directorate and co-ordinates administrative support.
As Head of Support and improvement you will provide leadership across the team and will form part of the Directorate SMT. You will provide valuable support and advice to line managers on HR processes, acting as the interface with HR on employment issues and will be responsible for taking a strategic overview on equality, diversity and inclusion. You will develop and promote innovation, efficiency and customer focus in the delivery of services, and in particular, will promote good internal communication and a strategic framework of continuous improvement across the directorate.
The successful candidate will possess significant senior management experience gained within a large complex organisation with the ability to lead and motivate a team. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of HR policies and employment law, have experience of working with and controlling budgets and a passion for providing excellent service.
