Role Overview
As the Head of Strategic Procurement (Executive Director), you will lead the development and execution of procurement strategies across essential categories such as building materials, design consultants, and contractor services, ensuring alignment with the project's long-term vision. This role demands a balance of strategic oversight, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on leadership in category management to support project objectives.
In this role, you will act as a key partner to business units, helping translate high-level category strategies into actionable procurement operations. Your work will drive value through quality improvements, risk mitigation, and strategic partnerships with both local and international suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Lead category strategy development and implementation, focusing on scalability, innovation, and on-time delivery.
- Category Risk Management: Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, managing supply chain risks with cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with business units and stakeholders to align procurement activities with project goals.
- Team Development: Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic procurement or category management, ideally within large-scale construction, real estate, or urban development projects.
- Proven expertise in managing complex category strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees and relevant certifications (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP) are advantageous.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
