MAIN DUTIES:
- Act as the primary procurement lead for all activities, ensuring alignment with project and organisational objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to optimise supply chain performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to leverage market opportunities and foster innovation.
- Lead the centralisation of procurement functions, ensuring best value and enhanced operational efficiency.
- Oversee the performance management of the supply chain, driving continuous improvement through actionable feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organisational goals and timelines.
- Uphold ethical standards, promote ESG principles, and contribute to the company’s vision of sustainable and responsible procurement.
- Provide leadership to the procurement team, ensuring effective mentoring, development, and performance management.
TO BE CONSIDERED:
- Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management within the construction or contractor sector is essential.
- Proven experience in managing an annual spend profile exceeding £50m within construction, FM, or real estate.
- Strong technical knowledge of procurement processes, including contracts, materials, and services within construction and FM.
- Demonstrable success in leading change and transformation programmes to deliver centralised and optimised procurement functions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Results-driven, resilient, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- MCIPS qualification is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a high degree of commercial acumen.
- Familiarity with SME environments and the ability to manage procurement across varied business functions.
