Head of Property & Facilities – Healthcare Provider

MRG has been mandated to recruit a Head of Estates and Facilities Management for a leading healthcare provider. This essential leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of estates and facilities services, directly influencing the quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Development: Establish clear team roles that align with operational objectives while mentoring staff to foster professional development and best practices.
- Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement effective strategies that optimise resources, reduce costs, and mitigate risks, ensuring alignment with healthcare objectives.
- Portfolio Management: Manage the complete estates lifecycle, from acquisitions to disposals, while ensuring compliance during lease structuring and renewals.
- Health and Safety Leadership: Maintain stringent adherence to health and safety standards, ensuring a secure environment for all stakeholders while promoting operational excellence.
- Asset Management Initiatives: Lead efforts to maximise asset utilisation, addressing inefficiencies, and overseeing maintenance operations to enhance facility performance.
- Financial Stewardship: Collaborate closely with Finance to create and monitor budgets, forecasts, and reports that drive organisational success, addressing estates-related inquiries with accuracy.
- Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate robust relationships with landlords, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to best practices.
- Operational Alignment: Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure that estates strategies support service delivery goals, utilising technology to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Surveyor: MRICS
- Healthcare Experience: Demonstrated success in managing large estates portfolios within the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on strategic planning.
- Team Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and tackle complex challenges within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong problem-solving skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for effective reporting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships with confidence.
