St Paul’s Girls’ School is the country’s leading independent secondary day school for girls aged 11-18 and is a lively academic community with excellent facilities for all subjects. The School is split over three sites; the main school site with its listed buildings, the swimming pool, and the playing field site all within a short walking distance of each other. 

The School is undertaking a significant building and development programme as part of its site-wide masterplan. The first phase was completed in 2017 with a new drama studio, a new building on the main site and a new sports pavilion at the playing fields. Planning permission has been granted for the next phases that include two new buildings and a series of modifications and improvements to existing buildings (some have listed status). Progress is well underway with these phases. This is therefore an exciting time for an experienced Head of Estates to play a key role in the delivery of the next phase of works as well as being responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the school site.

The Head of Estates is a key leadership position responsible for defining and executing the building management strategy. You will develop key strategies to create a culture of service excellence. This an autonomous post that will ensure successful and compliant delivery of all FM services through the School’s facilities and operational contracts and consultant frameworks.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in the management of a wide range of maintenance and facilities services. You will be adept in the regular review of performance, ensuring value for money in addition to efficient operational delivery. The role will suit professionals with persuasive communication skills who enjoy developing collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders.
