£49,400 to £58,300 per annum

The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) is a college of the University of London and the only Higher Education institution in the UK specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East.

Based in the heart of Central London the School has some impressive facilities, including the Brunei Gallery, opened in 1995, which provides a notable conference venue. The estate also includes the SOAS Library which is recognised as a collection of national importance. In 2016, Senate House North Block opened, creating a single unified campus for SOAS. The redevelopment of the North Block of the building extended SOAS’ Central London campus, creating spaces that facilitate both formal and informal teaching and learning.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Property Services, the Head of Campus Experience will lead efforts to provide an exceptional campus experience for all staff, students, and visitors. This includes ensuring high-quality, customer-focused services, as well as implementing and updating policies and procedures. The role also involves strategic planning for the efficient utilization of school spaces, active engagement with stakeholders, fostering a positive work environment, and championing continuous improvement and innovation across campus services.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of effective leadership and communication, along with strong interpersonal skills. They should have experience in managing and leading teams while successfully implementing innovative ideas and approaches. The candidate should also possess a strategic mindset and a history of effectively managing demanding customer interactions, meeting service level agreements, while demonstrating strong business acumen and the ability to drive process and service improvements.
