Savills and The Management Recruitment Group are looking for a highly skilled Director of Technical Services to deliver technical and operational solutions for a prestigious mixed-use luxury development in Queensway, London.
Due to commence occupation from Summer 2023, The Whiteley is a redevelopment of an iconic London landmark, founded over 100 years ago. Once complete, The Whiteley will include over 130 luxury residences, the UK’s first 5* Six Senses London Hotel, wellness club and spa, 20 new shops, cafes, restaurants, a cinema and gym.
They are seeking a Director of Technical Services who will be primarily responsible for identifying and delivering commercially and operationally realistic, best practice, technical and operational solutions to site specific issues. The role will involve the design, delivery & implementation of site-specific improvement strategies in recognition of change management.
A strong technically minded professional with working knowledge of the mechanical and electrical services industry, the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

Proven Experience in Technical Services. This role requires an exceptional professional who has working knowledge and experience of the mechanical and electrical services industry and key factors affecting it.
Leadership and Best Practice. Be a naturally engaging, articulate and positive leader who can drive outstanding performance through others, whether direct reports, the wider team or service partners. You will develop the site team, in conjunction with the residential surveyors, to ensure the delivery of excellent customer focused service.
Health & Safety Excellence. Ensuring the operations of The Whiteley estate are fit for purpose and all necessary Health and Safety plans and procedures are in place and up to date. You should have a sound understanding of statutory requirements, codes of practice, health and safety requirements, COSHH and environmental matters.
Strong Contractor Management Skills. You should be comfortable working with changing evolving service contracts and ensuring best value and performance. You will be monitoring closely the KPI performance of contractors and in-house teams, ensuring industry best practice and the highest standards for The Whitley’s residents and guests.
To be considered for this role, you must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a related technical or business subject. You should possess strong leadership skills, and good B2C/B2B customer service and hospitality abilities.
