Savills and The Management Recruitment Group are looking for an exceptional Director of Residences to lead the residential team for a prestigious mixed-use luxury development in Queensway, London, delivering world-class customer service at this iconic destination.
Due to commence occupation from Summer 2023, The Whiteley is a redevelopment of an iconic London landmark, founded over 100 years ago. Once complete, The Whiteley will include over 130 luxury residences, the UK’s first 5* Six Senses London Hotel, wellness club and spa, 20 new shops, cafes, restaurants, a cinema and gym.
The Director of Residences will be the lead of the residential team on site, ensuring the provision of services and facilities is delivered throughout every aspect of the residential operation. The Director of Residences is responsible for the delivery of the service partner contractual obligations, activity and delivery across the residential elements of The Whiteley, and will lead, manage, motivate, inspire, encourage and develop the management team and people to enable and allow them to confidently and consistently deliver an ever evolving, best in class, residential lifestyle experience at The Whiteley.
A versatile leader driven by a desire to deliver world-class customer service, the Director of Residences will serve as the public face of all Residential aspects of the day-to-day running of the Estate, providing strategic direction and driving the performance of the team to achieve best-in-class results in what is one of London’s most prestigious developments. Some of your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Define and deliver exceptional customer service. What does ‘exceptional’ mean to you? How will you deliver world-class customer service and what values will you and your team promote in creating a culture where customer-centricity is first and foremost?
Leadership and Best Practice. Be a naturally engaging, articulate and positive leader who can drive outstanding performance through others, whether direct reports, the wider team or service partners. You will develop your management team, in conjunction with the residential surveyors, to ensure the delivery of excellent customer focused service.
Operational Residential Delivery. Ensuring the operations of The Whiteley residential estate are fit for purpose and all necessary plans and procedures are available and understood for the launch of each successive phase and handover. In conjunction with the Estate Director, you’ll prepare the Residential operations teams for future phase delivery, with clear plans in place for timelines, pre handover support and operational readiness.
Financial and Commercial Acumen. You will be responsible for all financial matters regarding the operational management of The Whiteley, including the overseeing of the residential service charge budget development and financial obligations.
Occupier Relationships. You will develop excellent relationships with representatives of The Whiteley and advisers, reporting to the Head of Block Management and Director of Mixed Use on all aspects of the management of the Residential property through regular formal written reports and at site meetings in addition to ad-hoc communication as required.
To be considered for this role, you must have proven residential property management experience, strong leadership skills, and good B2C/B2B customer service and hospitality abilities. MIRPM qualified is essential, Associate RICS desirable.
