Director – Development Policies

We’re working with a major real estate giga-project in Saudi Arabia to appoint a Director – Development Policies.
This strategic leadership role sits within the central development function and focuses on the standardisation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across development operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving efficiency, alignment, and compliance across planning, design, and delivery functions – with a particular focus on the integration of stage gate processes and knowledge management systems.
You’ll act as the key advisor to development teams, building cross-functional collaboration and ensuring best-in-class governance across a complex, multi-asset programme.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining standardised development policies, procedures, and templates across asset classes

Leading continuous improvement of Stage Gate frameworks and alignment with broader project governance

Driving collaboration across planning, infrastructure, and delivery teams

Supporting compliance, risk, and quality control processes through policy innovation and training

Enhancing digital systems and knowledge-sharing platforms (e.g., Unifier, Aconex)
What we’re looking for:

12+ years of experience in real estate development, construction, or governance within large-scale, mixed-use projects

Strong background in development policy creation, stage gate methodology, and cross-functional governance

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and driving adoption of systems and best practices

Familiarity with digital tools for document control and workflow (e.g., Unifier, Aconex)

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Legal, Project Management, or related fields (Master’s preferred)
