Excellent relocation opportunity with one of the most awe-inspiring Giga Projects in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
These roles will support the Hotel Development Director on all development activities pertaining to hotel / Hospitality assets, from inception to asset delivery. There will be a number of hotels ranging from 3-star, 4-star, and 5-star brands.
Key Accountabilities.
- Prepare RFP’s in relation to the development of the Concept Design for hospitality assets and assist throughout the procurement, selection, and kick-off process. Also, project manage the overall RFP process as per company procedures and coordinate with other relevant parties.
- Project manage the design of the architectural, interior design, landscape, and engineering Concept Plans in accordance with the development strategy and product positioning whilst following company procedures and adhering to the selected brand’s design guidelines.
- Monitor and/or drive the delivery of concept designs for hospitality assets, coordinate with other internal and external stakeholders and assist the Hotel Development Lead in providing status updates to relevant parties.
- Ensure adherence to the detailed development plan/timeline for every hospitality asset within the organization (This includes centralization and closing of all comments from relevant stakeholders in line with indicated communication protocol, on ACONEX, and in a timely manner)
- Attend project and construction meetings in relation to hospitality assets, ensuring that project progress occurs timely and is in alignment with the hotel development plan and business case.
- Act as a design custodian for each hospitality asset and ensure continuous coordination with all relevant sectors (including sustainability) and franchisors/operators in the course of the concept design development of each and every one of the hotel's projects.
- Ensure Concepts Plans developed for each hotel asset, on one hand, fit aesthetically and architecturally unique identity and the brand’s design language whilst providing the base for an efficient operational platform, in line with the franchisor/operator service standards and promised guest experience.
- Act as an owner’s representative in supporting the operators with all pre-opening activities.
- Support Hospitality Lead in financial reviews and adherence to budgets with regard to all development expenditures (CAPEX, pre-opening, OS&E etc…)
- Liaise with external agents and relevant stakeholders to coordinate OS&E selection and procurement efforts.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in real estate, Real Estate Development, Architecture, Design
- A Master’s degree in one of the above fields is also desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the hospitality industry with a proven track record of design delivery for hotels of various types and classes.
- 5 years of project management experience or exposure to design development.
- General working knowledge of the life cycle of the real estate/hospitality development process, from project inception to opening.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment with substantial lateral stakeholder management.
- Excellent use of MS Office, ACONEX and design/project management software
- Passion for developing well-executed projects in a dynamic and creative environment.
