About the Role:
A leading real estate development organization is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee key aspects of cost management for large-scale infrastructure and development projects. This role involves managing internal cost schedules and liaising with multiple stakeholders, including finance, PMO, and external consultants, to ensure the successful financial management of high-value projects.
Job Description:
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing and tracking costs across complex development projects. You will work closely with finance, project controls, and external consultants to ensure that all financial elements are in alignment with project goals. The position requires extensive knowledge of the FIDIC Yellow Book form of contract and a proven track record in cost management on large-scale developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update internal cost schedules and programs, ensuring accurate financial tracking across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with finance, project controls, and PMO teams to align cost management with overall project timelines and objectives.
- Work closely with external consultants to ensure cost oversight and compliance with project expectations.
- Ensure adherence to FIDIC Yellow Book contracts, as approved by regulatory authorities.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on cost performance and financial risks, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field; professional qualifications (MRICS, etc.) are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial management, particularly on large-scale infrastructure and development projects.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC Yellow Book contracts.
- Proven experience in managing costs and financial reporting in complex project environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working between finance, PMO, and external consultants.
- Experience in the Middle East is an advantage.
Salary:
SAR 70,000 – 80,000 per month plus benefits.
