Our major Client, within the Real Estate Consultancy sector, is looking to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor, to join the growing team located in Ashford. This role will support the Surveying team on a wide range of projects, including commercial and residential buildings in all forms of construction.

You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out inspections and providing advice on the construction, repair, maintenance and refurbishment of all types of buildings.
- Carrying out inspections and surveys, including acquisition, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations
- Preparing reports, schedule of works & works specifications.
- Designing and overseeing works, aligning with recognised building contracts and to current technical standards.
- Undertaking projects independently, using expert knowledge on all aspects of professional consultancy services.
- Understanding and applying any relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations and planning.
- Providing leadership and support to APC candidates to promote knowledge and understanding.
About you:
- MRICS accredited.
- Experience and working knowledge of consulting, surveying and ancillary engineering, practices and procedures supported by an awareness of the latest statutory requirements.
- Experience in defect diagnosis and report writing.
- Experience in negotiating with other professionals and key project stakeholders.
- Experience in leading instructions from inception to completion.
- Experience working to deadlines and within budgets on large scale projects.
- Experience and understanding of CDM Regs, Party Wall and Building Regulation legislation.
