£35,333 – £40,931 p.a. plus excellent benefits

The University of Lincoln is seeking to recruit a Carbon Reduction Project Manager to plan and deliver a series of targeted carbon reduction projects.

The University of Lincoln is a high achieving centre of academic excellence which has been recognised nationally and internationally. It is an ambitious, fast-paced dynamic organisation with multiple stakeholders which strives always to improve the student and staff experience and engagement with the wider Lincoln community.

The University takes its responsibility as a sustainable organisation seriously and has committed to reducing its carbon emissions by 60% by 2030, against a baseline of 2009/10. They have set a target to be Net Zero by 2040.  The University has a substantial Capital Plan, which entails the completion of several major projects (both new build and refurbishment) together with a host of minor capital and revenue projects.

The Carbon Reduction Project Manager will develop, and project manage the delivery of projects at the University of Lincoln. This is a vital and central component of the University’s Carbon Management Plan and essential in their ability to meet ambitious carbon reduction targets. These include projects such as renewable energy solutions, Solar PV; the Decarbonisation of heat at the Riseholme Campus; Energy efficiency projects, via fabric improvements; ICT-related energy efficiency projects; and supporting the improvement of Building Management System upgrades and smart building controls.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a carbon and energy management role across a complex and diverse estate portfolio. You will possess demonstrable knowledge and experience in identifying and implementing energy efficiency projects and innovative low carbon and renewable energy technologies.  Strong data analysis and reporting skills will be key in successfully undertaking this role.
