I am currently working with a leading equipment hire business who are seeking a bid writer to join their team. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week in the office. Salary is £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience.
This role would suit a bid coordinator with strong written ability or bid writer with 6+ months experience who wants to join a supportive and growing organisation where they can really build a long term career. My client will also consider a graduate who is passionate about getting into bids and has a relevant degree. This could include a degree in English, Creative Writing, History, Journalism or similar.
About the role
- Lead the preparation, production and submission of winning proposals
- Produce professionally written content that clearly articulates the organisations value proposition
- Work with cross functional teams to help respond to expression of interests (EOIs), request for information (RFIs) and request for proposals (RFPs)
- Manage the proposal development process to ensure on-time delivery of compliant, compelling proposals
- Researching, writing and producing high volume documentation
- Manage the in-house bid library, keeping content up to date and producing new content
You will need to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Strong relationship building skills are essential to ensure a smooth working relationship with subject matter experts across the business. Excellent communication skills, written skills and a high attention to detail are all key to being a successful bid writer.
