I am working with a market leader who provide landscape maintenance services to a large range of businesses across the UK. They are now looking to recruit a Bid Writer. This role is hybrid, 2 days working from home with the rest working from their head office in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
Due to continued growth and the business supporting a substantial number of franchises the team are now looking for the support from a Bid Writer. This is a great opportunity for a content writer looking to get into the bidding industry writing detailed responses in a fast paced working environment or an experience bid professional who is looking to build on their expertise as a Bid Writer.
The role of a Bid Writer is to provide high quality written tender material, with the ultimate goal to win new contracts and retain existing clients.
About the role
You will work alongside the Bid Manager to assist and maintain first class bid content. Main responsibilities include:
- Produce high scoring proposal content that meets specific client requirements
- Author tender responses in response to specific tender questions and in line with evaluation criteria, or in line with market best practice where not provided
- Monitor the bid teams inbox, reviewing portals for new opportunities and raising them to the Bid Manager
- Review existing written material, edit, and make amendments to improve the overall quality of bids as part of a commitment to continuous improvement
- Actively seek out high quality content from internal and external stakeholders to constantly improve proposal quality
- Support the franchise network where required with arrangement of first appointments, site visits and internal meetings to develop an in-depth knowledge of each opportunity
About you
You will have at least 2 years’ experience as a bid writer or exposure to writing content for bids. You must be highly organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong project management capabilities. Experience within the grounds maintenance sector would be a huge advantage however my client is open to applicants from any sector.
