Newly created Bid Writer role within a growing management consultancy
The salary is £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience, however there may be some flexibility on that for someone who is slightly more experienced. This is a full time permanent position and would suit someone with 2+ years bid writing experience who wants to take the next step in their career.
You will be the sole bid writer, working alongside a bid coordinator and a bid manager. This team has grown from 1 to 3 in a short space of time, as the company move forward with their ambitious growth plans.
About the role
You will work with a range of stakeholders and subject matter experts to create high impact responses that clearly respond to the clients needs. You will re-write and edit responses from a variety of stakeholders, ensuring tone of voice is consistent throughout the bid. You will participate in storyboarding sessions and identify key strategic objectives and win themes, articulating them in bid responses. You’ll ensure the bid library is kept up to date and identify any previous content which can be reused.
Public sector and Government experience would be a huge bonus. You can come from any sector background as the bid writing skills are the most essential requirement. Holding a degree in English Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism or something similar would be preferred, however this isn’t essential. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment, prioritising workload and juggling multiple deadlines. Most importantly, you will have a passion for writing and want to pursue a long term career within bids.
About the company
The are a small, close-knit company who are part of a global group, giving you the chance to partner with other organisations on international opportunities. They’re well known in the public sector but have an ambitious 5 year growth plan to further develop in the private sector, so any private sector bidding experience you can bring would be useful. They want their employees to enjoy a positive work / life balance and offer flexible and hybrid working alongside paid volunteer days.
