I am currently working with an ambitious company who provide language services to the public sector, predominantly the NHS. They are looking for an experienced bid manager who will play a vital role in building and growing the bid function over the coming years.
This role would suit a bid professional with 5+ years experience, who has a proved track record of bidding and winning work in the public sector (specifically NHS). You will be a high achieving, ambitious, self driven individual who wants to be part of a business with huge growth plans. My client is based in Birmingham and they would be open to local candidates working hybrid or candidates further afield who can commute to the office 1-2 times per month.
Duties and responsibilities
- Anticipate and identify upcoming opportunities through tender sites
- Review past tenders and identify areas for improvement to create winning bids
- Search out and participate in engagement events MEQs, RFQs
- Anticipate, research and prepare materials for future bids to streamline bid processes
- Apply winning techniques and principles to create winning tenders
- Evaluate unsuccessful bids; gaining, interpreting and addressing feedback to ensure future success
- Creating a glossary of responses/bid library and create a streamlined bid process
- Educate and support the marketing department in producing parallel content for marketing activities in respective sectors
- Manage bid pipelines to ensure opportunities align with targets
- Develop and create additional materials to support the bid process such as supporting documentation
- Support the marketing team to write content for our target markets
- Team responsibility – 1 bid writer
Salary will depend on experience and my client offers an uncapped commission scheme.
