Assistant Director (Property and Estate Management)
£68,900 – £81,879 per annum plus excellent benefits
Parliament and the Palace of Westminster is one of the most iconic and significant estates portfolios in the world. It is home to one of the busiest parliaments, operating on a World Heritage site which attracts visitors from all over the globe, with more than a million people passing through its doors each year.
The successful candidate will develop and lead an in-house team, and supporting supply chain, accountable for the property and asset management function of the Parliament Estate and have professional oversight for property performance and strategy, acquisitions, disposals, business rates, L&T matters, rent reviews and lease renewals.
The role is a key position within the Parliamentary estate and will successfully define optimum (incl. value for money) property and asset strategies for the parliamentary estate, which best responds to the requirements of the Houses’ strategies and supporting functional/customer strategies in the short, medium and long term. As a senior member of the Estates team, you will develop, lead and mentor a team of property professionals to provide exceptional service to internal and partner stakeholders alike.
The role would suit RICS professionals who possess extensive experience in developing long term, sustainable development plans to support effective efficient and responsible estate development. A proven track record of successfully leading technical asset development strategies in complex-built environment portfolios is essential. Demonstrable expertise in applying a range of analytical techniques using numerical data and other information from a range of sources to understand complex issues, make strategic decisions, and deliver process improvements and innovation will also be vital.
