High-Impact Scope with Strategic Oversight:

As Executive Director / Area Managing Director, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of major CCGT power projects. From feasibility and contract negotiation through construction, commissioning, and eventual operations, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial functions. You will also represent the organization at the highest levels, with government ministries, regulatory bodies, and international stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering; MBA/Master’s preferred
• 15+ years of experience delivering major EPC power projects, including 5+ years in senior leadership
• Proven experience delivering CCGT projects in developing or post-conflict regions; MENA exposure strongly preferred
• Strong grasp of EPC contracts (FIDIC), BOOT/PPA frameworks, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder engagement
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills a significant advantage.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Develop and implement a strategy aligned with corporate goals and local regulatory frameworks
• Drive project delivery across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, QA/QC, and Commissioning
• Ensure compliance with global governance and local political, environmental, and commercial dynamics

Project Execution

• Oversee technical and commercial delivery of multiple power generation projects
• Lead execution planning, resource modelling, budgeting, and project risk mitigation
• Deliver projects on-time, within budget, and to international standards of quality and safety.

Stakeholder & Government Engagement

• Act as key liaison with ministries, government agencies, utilities, and private partners
• Build trusted relationships with local and regional authorities to ensure project alignment
• Navigate local regulatory landscapes with diplomacy and cultural sensitivity

Leadership & Talent Development

• Build and lead high-performing teams across technical, legal, financial, and construction functions
• Champion a culture of safety, performance, and innovation
• Implement structured local talent development and succession planning strategies

Risk & Compliance Management

• Monitor geopolitical, legal, and environmental risks and develop contingency plans
• Ensure contract compliance and governance standards across all project phases
• Oversee HSE adherence and lead crisis response planning in complex environments
