What do you do at Bid Recruitment?
I am a Practice Manager recruiting Bids professionals across sectors predominantly in Construction, Civil Engineering and FM.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
Starting in a new market and managing a placement in my first few weeks after having limited knowledge of the sector and managing to pick up new clients in new markets for the company.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
Fell into recruitment in 2014 after completing a music course. Ended up enjoying it as I get to speak to new people everyday and build relationships.
What energises you about working in this sector?
I like the niche market and the varied roles you can work on.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
Social media is much more prevalent now.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I’m a front man in a band.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
“Just go for it”.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Kind, crazy, loyal
