What do you do at Bid Recruitment?
I work in the Bid Recruitment team, a niche brand of MRG, sourcing top talent across Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, and Facilities Management.
I partner with organisations to secure high-performing professionals across the full bid lifecycle, from Bid Directors and Bid Designers through to Bid Writers, Analysts, Coordinators, and Business Development professionals.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
I am an extremely driven individual who has always pushed myself to achieve results. I have worked my way up into more senior positions in every role and company throughout my career. I enjoy challenging myself and taking on new responsibilities.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
After working in hospitality for many years, I needed a change that would provide me with a better work-life balance. Recruitment was recommended to me by some of my close friends as it plays on my personal demeanour. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and building long-lasting relationships.
What energises you about working in recruitment?
The collaborative nature of the work, involving diverse stakeholders, fosters a sense of community and shared purpose.
You specialise in bid recruitment, what interests you about this sector?
What interests me most about bid recruitment is the impact these professionals have on shaping and securing major projects across the built environment. Behind every successful bid is a strong team that combines strategy, technical expertise, creativity, and commercial awareness, and I enjoy helping businesses build those teams.
I’m also drawn to the pace and variety of the sector. No two assignments are the same, and I have the opportunity to work with organisations across Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure, and Facilities Management on roles that genuinely influence business growth.
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
Candidates respond more quickly by communicating with them via text message or WhatsApp, rather than email.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I have played football on and off since the age of 10. When I was younger, I played for Hampshire and currently play as left midfield for Liphook Ladies FC.
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Start a new day as if it’s your last – enjoy every moment.
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Loud, approachable & fun
And finally, who would play you in the movie about your life?
