What do you do at Bids?

I now specialise in interim recruitment for bid professionals across the UK, supporting clients and candidates nationally. This shift will allow me to work across a wide variety of sectors, placing talented individuals in business development, marketing, and bid roles on a freelance and contract basis. I love the pace and variety that comes with interim recruitment, and the opportunity to support organisations with agile, high-impact solutions.

How did you get into recruitment, and why?

I originally began in education recruitment, recruiting all things academic within the key stage 1 setting. Prior to this, I worked in retail and became one of the top sellers within my team. Recruitment was a natural progression for me!

What energises you about working in this sector?

The connections and relationships I have made through recruiting into businesses. Hiring Managers come to us for advice on roles, salaries, expectations of candidates.

What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?

That Bidding departments/teams are being taken a lot more seriously. They are more than just an administrative function, and the impact of their work is being recognised throughout businesses.

What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?

I once performed at the London Palladium in an improv piece when a comedian’s assistant was a no-show. It was such an adrenaline rush

What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Honesty is the best policy

What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

Caring, passionate, driven

And finally, who would play you in the movie about your life?

Audrey Hepburn – she reigns supreme as one of my favourite actresses to this day!
