Get to know… Danielle Davies

What do you do at Bids?
I work a multifaceted desk across the Midlands and North. This means I have get to work in such a diverse range of sectors recruiting business development, marketing and bid roles.
What are you most proud about that you have achieved in your career to date?
I love when new clients are referred to working with us from such a positive experience, whether its been referred by a client or candidate.
How did you get into recruitment, and why?
I originally began in education recruitment, recruiting all things academic within the key stage 1 setting. Prior to this I worked in retail and become one of the top sellers within my team, recruitment was a natural progression for me!
What energises you about working in this sector?
The connections and relationships I have made through recruiting into businesses. Hiring Managers come to us for advice on roles, salaries, expectations of candidates
What’s the biggest thing that’s changed in recruitment since you started?
That Bidding departments / teams are being taken a lot more seriously. They are more than just an administrative function and the impact of their work is being recognised throughout businesses.
What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I once performed at the London Palladium in an improv piece when a comedians assistant was a no show. It was such an adrenaline rush!
What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?
Honesty is the best policy
What three words would your colleagues use to describe you?
Caring, passionate, driven
And finally, who would play you in the movie about your life?
Audrey Hepburn – she reigns supreme as one of my favourite actresses to this day!
