Senior Project Manager

The University of Leicester is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of the University’s capital investment programme.

Our estate extends to a total site area of 95 hectares, comprising a non-residential estate of 110 buildings covering around 200,000m2 and a residential estate of 191 properties. The majority of the academic facilities are located to the south of Leicester city centre with a main campus supplemented by a number of satellite properties nearby. 

The Senior Project Manager within Estates and Campus Services will provide high-quality client-focused project management skills to a range of capital projects. As Deputy to the Assistant Director of Estates (Projects and Planning) Neil Loxton, you will lead and own the planning and delivery of a series of capital projects. The University has a series of upcoming high-complexity projects focusing on the extensive refurbishment of existing buildings on campus. 

We are seeking candidates that have gained proven experience in managing complex refurbishment projects in a client-side or client’s consultant role, with a track record gained on projects in excess of £20m in value. Candidates must possess robust technical and commercial expertise within the construction and property sectors. You should be proficient in overseeing and managing every phase of the project lifecycle, from initial brief development and design to procurement and construction.
